Y2K is a term used to describe a design style that focuses on the late 90s and early 2000s. It takes inspiration from fashion, computer interfaces and overall pop culture and Y2K can be observed in magazines, festivals and events visual design. And now, Y2K is making a comeback!
 
We produced Y2K Templates as a companion to our beloved Y2K Shapes pack. It gives to more freedom to benefit from your designs. And can be edited or transformed by your vision and desire. They’re all in vector form and can be edited directly in Adobe Illustrator.

Y2K was a term used to describe the design of computer systems and software to ensure that they would be able to handle the transition from the year 1999 to the year 2000. This was important because many computer systems at the time used two-digit codes to represent the year, which meant that they would be unable to distinguish between the years 1900 and 2000. As a result, there was a concern that these systems might malfunction or fail entirely when the date rolled over from December 31, 1999 to January 1, 2000. 

To address this issue, designers had to go back and update their systems to use four-digit codes for the year, which would allow them to properly handle the transition to the new millennium. In addition to this, many systems also had to be tested to ensure that they would continue to function properly after the year 2000. Overall, the Y2K efforts were successful in preventing widespread disruptions and failures of computer systems during the transition to the year 2000.

We created Y2K shapes pack to bring back all the memories from that time and their aesthetic with it! We curates 100 unique shapes from that era and everything in vector form and ready to use!
