Minneapolis-based broadcast design, effects, and animation studio motion504 released an animated short titled DOUGH JOE. 2 minutes long short is dynamic, action-packed, and gives a positive feeling along the journey. The main character reaches an ancient temple at the summit of a mountain. He traveled through rivers and forests, passed inside clouds, and climbed thousands of ladders to obtain great prizes that will be presented by the monks. But, what could it be? Fame, wealth, and power? Endless knowledge and resources? Answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?

When our traveler reached the temple, he presents himself and offers everything to learn more. Welp, monks accept and show the sacred learning.
I will not ruin the twist but I loved the animation style. Especially graphic novel-like three panel transitions really move the story to the next act. DOUGH JOE is nearly 2 minutes long but it follows three arc narratives without being fast. While our attention span decreasing a little bit more every year, motion504 shows a great example to make a cool story with a well-paced narrative.
