Imogen Crossland is an artist and illustrator based in Manchester, UK. She is graduated from the University of Brighton with a degree in Visual Communications in 2020. The artist describes her work as follows: “Celebrating colour, joy, and togetherness, my work is an ode to the good times.”
Imogen Crossland paints scenes that reflect the moments of joy like gathering, dancing, eating, drinking, swimming, partying in her multicolored and textured works. In an interview with Jamjuice Mag, Imogen Crossland is asked “What’s your favourite artistic subject to use?” and the artist answers, “Anyone having a good old time, I’d say.”
In the same interview, she answers the question of “What would your dream project be?” as follows “Creating a massive mural is definitely one of my dream projects. Also, very ambitious, but I would love to collaborate with a big fashion brand on a campaign. So many fashion houses have been doing amazing work with illustrators recently.”
She recently collaborated with WeTransfer for Creative Lives and WeTransfer’s new series “Team Building”.
Jiayue Li’s works, which she created with the taste of rough sketches with colored paints, have a soft and peaceful side. The presence of female characters in the foreground also emphasizes the theme of woman empowerment.
