I often feel the urge to describe artists and designers as humble, beautiful soul. I genuinely feel like that. Hannah Eddy is the latest addition to my precious “beautiful artists with beautiful soul” list along with Curtia Wright and her works! Hannah Eddy is an illustrator and muralist who loves to use colors and their vibrations between each other. Her information on her website says it all. She finds inspiration from skateboard, snowboard and surf culture and turn it into a feeling in her work.
I’d like to directly quote from website, so we can discuss about our emotions that triggered by her work.
”Her art contains colorful combinations of funky characters, imaginative landscapes, bold line work, and free-flowing hand lettering. She often hits on heavy issues through a lighthearted lens because she’s serious about taking serious things less seriously. Hannah’s work is largely influenced by the expressive graphic style and free-thinking approach of the skateboard/snowboard/surf culture that she grew up immersed in. She aims to help inspire her fellow humans to pick up a board, hop on a bike, feel the wind, appreciate the funkiness in nature, or to just give a hoot about each other and our planet.”
Hannah Eddy just want you to groove
Hannah Eddy is based in Reno, Nevada. Her illustrations infused with affirmations, motivational qoutes without empty promises and toxic positivity. She just drives the audience to live like she do, referencing what she likes, focusing on little moments bursting huge achievements. Some of them are; “Embrace the unknown” “Remember you’re not alone” “It all works together” “Find time to open your mind”… look how thoughtful, simple and humble they’re!
Just like the waves and tides, everything comes and goes. Every feeling, every emotion either good or bad are not permanent. If you fall, you get up. If you go high as cloud, you’ll eventually fall to ground. Negative and positive moments balance each other and you just have to ride between them!
Hannad Eddy previously worked with Patagonia, Sodastream, Fat Tire, Camelbak, Worn Wear, Snowboarder Magazine, Protect Our Winters, Dakine, Giro, Woodward, GNU Snowboards, Arcade Belts, Traeger Grills, Airblaster, GROWN Clothing, and Intersectional Environmentalist. And you can see these brands also aligns with her style and vision.
