Knowledge is everywhere, and it’s so easy to own the information. But the hard part is execution. If everyone knows everything, how will we differentiate from each other? Everyone has an opinion about anything. And even if they don’t, they can easily borrow some from the internet. If everything is an iteration of past thoughts and ideas, how can we make sure our ideas are unique? Edinburgh-born, London-based artist and writer Damien Cifelli create vibrant, colorful and soulful paintings about the people that live in Tarogramma. This land is sacred and elusive that was hidden from the people. The land doesn’t want to be discovered. But Cifelli explains that Tarogramma was discovered many times over the course of human history. And every piece of information about these land transferred through artifacts and images. The rich culture, colors, textures and everything led the researchers to their own aesthetic.
When you look at Damien Cifelli’s work you can sense the cultural references and homage to the past creatives that pave the way for us. And you can lost in the Tarogramma while admiring the quality of the art.

When I found out about Wong Chun Hei Stephen and Ariel Lee, two amazing artists one based in Hong Kong and the other in southern California, I was struck by their talent to reflect what they experienced in nature into their art.
