This map is an alternative city guide that moves away from tourist traps and predictable attractions. It highlights local cafés, bookstores, parks, and hidden corners that reflect the everyday rhythm of the city. The map is created for newcomers, tourists & travelers, and curious locals who want to experience Vienna’s authentic atmosphere and subtle charm.
The project was first released as a limited edition printed map, which is still available at Hafi Books in Vienna. It is now available online and downloadable via Dirtybarn for everyone who wishes to discover the city through a more personal and creative lens.
Whether you have just arrived in Vienna or have lived here for years, this map invites you to go beyond the obvious and explore the city through Piknik’s perspective, one street, one café, one story at a time.
