Love and relationships are one of the pillar topics of literature and art. We constantly find new ways to experience and express it, whether it’s cliché or experimental. Cady Buche and Travis Barron of Unlimited Time Only directed and animated a music video for Terms of Surrender by Conditioner.
The band describes the video as exploring two different stories at the same time. Surrendering to love is, on the one hand, a young person falling into cult is on the other.
“I think the song is about two things at once – a celebration of acceptance of love, and a warning about fully losing touch with yourself. Really falling in love and building a life with someone requires that loss of independence – and that sacrifice is beautiful.”

Cady Buche and Travis Barron of Unlimited Time Only has a distinct, traditional animation style that carries you into a past while creative direction keep you in present.
I felt angry at modern styles and trends after watching it for the first time. Today’s hyper-realism in animation, video games and computer generated imagery makes everything little bit dull.
Their work also a reminder of the good old days and aesthetics. And luckly this vision is not dead.
