Because we gather there without considering professional interests such as work, however, some events stand out with their originality and differences. NY-based British photographer Adam Powell explored the USA through its wide range of gatherings. He captures the weird, only-in-America type of interest events in a humorous way. And this weekend’s routine changed due to the pandemic. Now he usually walks around New York City and observes the things around him.
He has been with very diverse and niche communities. He’s attended some events; Heavy Metal Cruise, Hot Dog Contest, Mr. Fire Island Bear Weekend, Dyke March, Comic-Con. And all the work Adam Powell put out shows us every one of us has quirks and unorthodox hobbies. And people feel comfortable when they share the same weirdness.
